The 2020 bear seasons were some of the most successful yet, according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which reported this week that the state recorded its sixth-largest bear harvest ever last year as hunters took 3,608 black bears. 

In the northwest region, Jefferson County’s total of 76 was an increase of nine over last year’s 65.
