PUNXSUTAWNEY — The rebidding of the site improvements for the Punxsutawney elementary and high school construction projects paid off, as the district saved $26,000.

Bob Englebaugh, HHSDR architects, presented the rebids to the Punxsutawney Area School Board at a special meeting at the district administration offices Tuesday.

“We prepared the bids and specs for this project,” he said. “Four weeks ago, there were some abnormalities and all the bids were rejected.”
