Jefferson County’s COVID-19 case count continued to slow Friday, with the Pennsylvania Department of Health reporting only seven new infections, though one more person was noted to have died of the virus.

The county has had a total of 2,684 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, as well as 83 deaths. Of the cases, 1,653 are confirmed and 1,031 are probable.
