Heritage Barn

Rod and Kim Newcome have turned the barn that was originally Rod’s grandfather’s into the Heritage Barn, a wedding venue with a rustic, down-home country feel.

PUNXSUTAWNEY— If you’re going to get hitched, you might as well do it in a barn. And Rod and Kim Newcome’s Heritage Barn offers a rustic, down-home country feel to any wedding. The barn had its first official wedding on August 21.

The barn itself was built in 1882. The decision to turn Rod’s grandfather’s barn into a wedding barn was made after the couple attended several weddings held in similar venues.

“We went to three or four weddings in barns. That inspired us to do it,” Kim Newcome said.
