What a run: LLSB falls to South Williamsport at States

Staff Writer

It was quite a run for the Punxsy Little League Softball All-Stars -- one that took them to the final three spots in the state tournament -- but unfortunately, that run came to an end on Saturday, as South Williamsport defeated Punxsy 2-0 to advance to the finals. Punxsy played well on the field and represented the town with class throughout the summer season and finished third place in the state in a very respectable field.

Ryley Casaday (pictured here) was joined by Elliott Ferrent, Sarah Weaver and Holly Hartman as the four Punxsy players to record a hit, and Kendal Johnston pitched all five innings, allowing just two runs on six hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

Congratulations on a great season girls!
