At Monday evening’s Punxsutawney Area School Board meeting, Robert Pascuzzo, board member, made a motion to accept the resignation of Dr. Keith Wolfe as the district’s superintendent, effective Oct. 13, 2015, and execute the related settlement agreement.

School board member Edward McGinnis seconded the motion, with a roll call vote being taken and Jim Baun, board member, and Penny Pifer, board vice president, voting against the resignation.

Clarence Craft, school board president, then asked for a motion to be made to appoint Dr. J. Thomas Frantz as interim superintendent. Pascuzzo made the motion, with McGinnis seconding. The vote passed 7-2, with Pifer and Melissa Snyder, board
member, voting against making Frantz the interim superintendent.
