Punxsutawney woman sustains injuries in one-vehicle accident

A Punxsutawney woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 8:03 a.m. on Saturday on Elderberry Hill Road in Bell Township. According to PSP-Punxsutawney, a 2001 Ford Ranger, driven by Geraldine L. Hadden, 48, Punxsutawney, was traveling east on Elderberry Hill Road when she lost control on the ice-covered road, traveled off the west berm and struck a tree with the left front side of her vehicle. Police said it then traveled approximately three feet east before coming to a final rest facing east. According to police, Hadden was transported by Jefferson County EMS to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
