146 members of PAHS Class of 2016 graduate

There was a full house Friday evening as the 146 members of the Punxsutawney Area High School Class of 2016 took the stage one final time to accept their diplomas and officially end their high school careers.

The ceremony began with the procession of seniors into the auditorium to “Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 in D” played by Erin Knepper, before the Select Ensemble took the stage to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Then, Dr. J. Thomas Frantz, interim superintendent, was introduced by Class of 2016 secretary Laurel Szymanski.
