Notice: Pursuant to the "Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation Act" and the "Clean Streams Law" notice is hereby given that Infrastructure Resources, Inc., P. O. Box 45, Punxsutawney, PA 15767 has made application to the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a new non-coal surface mining permit (SMP) and Individual NPDES Permit, in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County. The proposed SMP area is proposed to discharge treated waste water into: An Unnamed Tributary #1 to Pine Run (CWF) and Caylor Run (CWF) to Pine Run (CWF) to Mahoning Creek (WWF) to Allegheny River (WWF) to Ohio River (WWF). The proposed permit area contains 217 acres and will be known as the Dora Mine, is located approximately 1 mile northeast of the village of Dora, PA on lands of DDP Land, LLC, Keith D. Snyder ETAL., John C. & Amie M. Hergert, Fred N. & Patricia Ann Hergert, Keith A. & Elaine F. Klingler, Larry Coleman ETAL and Gregory A. Mack. The western-most limit of the proposed permit area is Lost Hill Road. The northern-most limit of the proposed permit area is approximately 1,500 feet south of the intersection of Lost Hill Road and RT-536. The eastern-most limit of the proposed permit area is approximately 2,300 feet west of the intersection of King Road and Blose Road. The southern-most limit of the proposed permit area is the abandoned Pittsburgh & Shawmut Railroad grade. The proposed permit area can be located on the Dayton, PA 7 1/2 minute quadrangle map. The operator is proposing to submit a road variance proposal (Plan of Intent) to conduct surface mining activities within 100' of and up to the eastern right of way of Lost Hill Road (SR 3001) The road variance proposal will begin at a point approximately 1,200' south of the intersection of Caylor Road and Lost Hill Road (SR 3001) at the Mack-Snyder property line and continue south along the eastern side of Lost Hill Road (SR 3001) for approximately 3,500' to the DDP Land-Hergert property line. The operator is proposing to blast within the proposed permit area. The operator is proposing the Incidental Extraction of coal during the process of mining stone on this proposed permit area. The operator is proposing a change in the post mining land use on the DDP Land, LLC property from the current land use of forestland to a post mining land use of unmanaged natural habitat.
