WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – PennDOT Engineering District 10 is advising motorists that a bridge closure will begin on Route 1002 (Wayne Road) on Monday for a bridge replacement project.
The bridge carries Route 1002 over an unnamed tributary in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.
Beginning Monday at 7 a.m., Wayne Road will close between the intersections of Pancoast Road and Sand Spur Road (Clearfield County).
The closure will remain in place until mid-August.
A detour will be posted using Route 1002 (Wayne Road) to Route 2033 (Rathmel Road) to Route 322 East to T-828 (Thunderbird Road) to T-329 (Main Street) to T-379 (Sand Spur Road), which turns into Route 1002 (Wayne Road).
The existing bridge will be replaced with a precast concrete box culvert.
The work is being completed by PennDOT’s Jefferson County Maintenance Forces.
