Irene J. Duda, 77, Sykesville, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Christ the King Manor after a short illness.
She was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Rossiter, a daughter of the late John and Ann (Senott) Sitosky.
Irene was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sykesville.
She worked at Paris Cleaners.
She was a member oh the Sykesville Ambulance Board.
Irene loved being a homemaker and cooking, and her greatest joy was her grandchildren
She lived most of her life in the Sykesville area.
Survivors include a special friend, Michael Rudzinski of DuBois; two
children, Mrs. Kenneth (Deborah) Antonetti – Hill of Pennsdale Pa., and George E. Duda of Sykesville; three sisters, Deloris Sitosky of Christ the King Manor; Mrs. William (Gloria) Bowers of Stump Creek and Regina Kilmer of DuBois; a brother, John Sitosky “Si” of Sykesville; five
grandchildren, Callah and Devon Antonetti, Ged Duda, and Travis and Kyle Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Antonetti; and two sisters, Anna Marie Fairman and Lillian Sitosky.
Friends are welcome at a Memorial Mass, which will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sykesville with Father Richard Allen officiating.
Interment will take place in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church cemetery in Sykesville.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville.
