Harry R. Gaul, 83, DuBois, formerly of Route 410, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at DuBois Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 24, 1929, in Big Run, a son of the late Ivan Gaul and Elizabeth (Fye) Gaul.
He married Carrie E. (Henry) Gaul, who preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 2005.
Mr. Gaul was a graduate of Plum High School.
He worked for various dairy companies.
He was a musician, playing for many area functions.
He resided in Plum Borough for many years.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mrs. Lee (Gail) Hockenberry of Punxsutawney; and a granddaughter, Stacey Hockenberry of Latrobe.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. today and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at The Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Andy Cresman officiating.
Interment will take place in McClure Cemetery in Big Run.
