PUNXSUTAWNEY — You never stop thinking about protecting the students, faculty and staff from danger, not just when a tragedy happens such as the shootings in Newtown, Conn., said Dr. Keith Wolfe, Punxsutawney Area School District superintendent.
The fatal shooting of 20 children and six adults has caught the attention of school administrators around the world, with them asking if this could happen in their district at one of their schools?
Wolfe wrote a letter to the community this week that was published in Tuesday's Spirit and presented some of his thoughts regarding this terrible tragedy.
He said he wanted to expound, in more detail, on how he deals with security in the Punxsy district.
