Beatrice Marie (Snyder/Minich) Gray, 94, Plumville, formerly of Porter Township, went to be with her Lord Monday, April 16, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Erie, the eldest daughter of John Wesley and Emma Virginia (Gray) Snyder.
Beatrice was a devoted Christian who, over her lifetime, was active in a number of churches and organizations. In recent years, these included the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Sagamore, God’s Missionary Church of Millmont, Colton Wesleyan Church of Colton, N.Y., and Penn View Bible Institute of Penns Creek.
In her free time, “Bea” enjoyed craft work and crocheting, and she especially liked working on baby quilts. Her life was dedicated to her family, and they will always remember the love she had for them.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Fern Wilson and husband Steve, of Jefferson City, Tenn., and Anita McIntire and husband, Gary of Plumville; a step-son, Jack Gray and wife Sue of Lisbon, N.Y.; two step-daughters, Linda Brouilette and husband Paul of Ogdensburg, N.Y. and Kim Trivilino and husband, Joe of Canton, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Snyder, of Conneaut, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl E. Minich, who passed away July 7, 1978; her second husband, H. William Gray, who passed away January 15, 1998; a son, Lee D. Minich; a brother, Paul Snyder; two sisters, Jean and Ellen McIntyre; and an infant son and infant daughter.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Bauer-Bly Funeral Home Inc., 125 East Main St., Dayton.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Sagamore Wesleyan Methodist Church, 2089 Third St., Sagamore, with the Rev. Ray McCrary officiating and the Rev. Joseph Smith and the Rev. Arlan Kratz participating.
Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, Porter Township.
