BROOKVILLE — The Brookville Area Little League Craig Lewis Memorial Tournament began Monday. The tournament features nine 9-and-10 year old teams and seven 11-and-12 year old teams from around the district.
In the first round, Punxsutawney 9-and-10 year olds faced Williams/Servco (Brookville) and were ousted. They fell 16-3 in four innings.
Brookville acted as the away team during Monday night's game and gained an early lead, scoring five runs in the top of the first.
All three of Punxsy's runs came in the bottom of the inning. Zach Vanleer was the first to cross home plate after Chase Lorelli hit an RBI single straight down the middle.
