Anna Marie Fairman, 77, Walston, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital after a short illness.
She was born Nov. 27, 1933, in Petrolia, a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Anna Marie (Senott) Sitosky.
Jan. 23, 1960, she married Robert Mark “Bob” Fairman, who survives, of Walston.
Mrs. Fairman worked for Sylvania in Reynoldsville and Rollo-Jenson in Punxsutawney. She was a retired cafeteria worker from the Punxsutawney Area School District.
A graduate of Sykesville High, Mrs. Fairman lived most of her life in Walston.
She was very active in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Walston and was a past president of the Rosary Society for 18 years.
In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a brother, John “Cy” Sitosky of Sykesville; four sisters, Deloris “Dee” Sitosky of Sykesville, Gloria Bowers and husband William of Stump Creek, Irene “Rene” Duda of Sykesville and Regina Kilmer of DuBois; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John; and a sister, Lillian.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. today and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at The Leo Nedza Funeral Home, Sykesville.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sykesville with Fr. Richard Allen officiating.
Interment will follow at the ABVM Catholic Cemetery, Sykesville.
