PAHS holds Class Night, honors scholars, awards Class Hearts

As the school year winds down, Thursday was a very special day for the Class of 2013 at PAHS — Class Night.

Conrad: Board must ‘get serious’ about budget

PSP-Punxsy reports three arrested for delivery of heroin

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Over the past two days, Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police have charged three individuals, including two local men, with delivery of heroin after search warrant and arrest warrants were
served in two separate incidents — one at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday and another at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

FCOG hosting blood drive in honor of Hoover

The First Church of God on Route 36 in Punxsutawney will hold a blood drive on Friday in honor of Martha Hoover (pictured), who has been the coordinator of the drive since it began at the church.

After many years of volunteer work, Martha has decided to retire and spend time with her family and friends.

Area residents are invited to come to the church on Friday between noon and 6 p.m. to donate blood in Martha’s honor.
