DUBOIS - As PSP-DuBois continues its search for a woman it wants to interview about a July 12 fire in Sykesville, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information about her.
Thursday, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers announced that it is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of Joey Lynn Offutt, 33.
Offutt is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, small build, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
She may be wearing glasses, Crime Stoppers said.
Offutt also has a speech impairment (a lisp) and is known to frequent the State College and Winchester areas of Pennsylvania.
Her vehicle, a red 1994 Saturn coupe with Virginia registration JXN8871, was found near the Nittany Gardens Apartments in State College about two weeks ago.
According to DuBois-based Pennsylvania State Police, during the course of the fire investigation, police discovered the remains of an infant child inside the destroyed house.
Crime Stoppers said Offutt was a resident of the house and has not been seen since before the fire.
Investigators feel there are suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance and have a concern for her welfare.
The fire occurred shortly after 4 a.m. July 12 at 90 Dr. Fugate Drive in Sykesville.
Police said the fire consumed a large portion of the residence. |
