William W. Schlemmer, 67

William W. Schlemmer, 67, North Huntingdon, died Monday, July 14, 2014, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1947, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Carl and Olwen James Schlemmer.

Prior to his retirement, Bill was employed by Penn State Tool & Die with more than 40 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Italian Miners and the American Legion.

His most favorite pastime was time he spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie, in 1999.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Daykon and husband Bennett of Jeannette and Kelli Hawk and husband Albert of Herminie; one brother, Donald Schlemmer of Irwin; one sister, Donna Deberti and husband Tom of Indiana; grandchildren Kristiane Schultz (Justin), Ben Daykon (Raimee), Stephanie Hawk and Mallory Palanko (Nick); and great-grandchildren Julian, Brooklyn, Summer, Jordan, Maxom, Jacob, Levi and Hunter.

Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, Pa., from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Brush Creek Cemetery.
