William R. Karnes, 68

William R. Karnes, 68, Sykesville, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at DRMC in DuBois.

He was born Aug. 9, 1945, in Erie, Pa, a son of the late Gerald and Leona (Cotherman) Karnes.

On July 6, 1977, he married Mary Karnes of Sykesville. She survives.

Mr. Karnes attended the New Castle School of Trades. He was a truck driver.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two daughters, Nicole Genevro of Sykesville and Jennifer Jones of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Corey Karnes of Sykesville; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville.
