William John Cameron, 80, Rossiter, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, in Rossiter.
He was born Sept. 4, 1930, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Arnold M. and Ethel M. Cameron.
He was married to Jane Mallory Cameron, who survives.
Mr. Cameron raised strawberries and was a dairy and beef farmer. He was retired from Benjamin Coal Company, Sky Haven Coal Company and his business, Cameron Bus Company, after 52 years.
He was a member of John W. Jenks Masonic Lodge No. 534; the Coudersport Consistory; Jaffa Shrine; and he was a former Sunday School teacher, administrative council member and PPRC chairman.
Mr. Cameron enjoyed golf and hunting, and he was a member of the Steffy United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include two daughters, Linda Wolfgang and husband Joel of Rossiter, and Debbie States and husband Edward of Punxsutawney; four sons, Paul E. Cameron and wife Patti of California, Rodney Cameron and wife Diane of Rossiter, Bret Cameron and wife Lillian of Punxsutawney, and Sean Cameron of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, Renee Moed, Erica Morrow, Jesse Cameron, Jason Wolfgang, Christie Leary, Doug Cameron, Jaime Milligan, Dr. William J. Cameron and Justin Cameron; seven great-grandchildren, Amber Wolfgang, Aidan Leary, Emma Cameron, Mason Morrow, Emmett Morrow, Sophia Milligan and Skylar Moed; two brothers, Clair Cameron and Dale Cameron, both of Rossiter; and a sister, Dorothy Painter of Rossiter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dr. William Cameron.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at the Steffy United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.
