William J. Bridge, 86

William J. Bridge, 86, of Cloe, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mr. Bridge was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Thomas L. Bridge and Hazel (Fetterman) Bridge.

On Aug. 18, 2005, Mr. Bridge was preceded in death by his wife Vera C. (Smith) Bridge.

He was the owner of Bills Chassis Alignment in Cloe.

He attended the Cloe United Methodist Church and was the former Post Commander of the Punxsutawney VFW.

His hobbies were woodworking, hunting and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by a son, Robert W. Bridge and wife Sandy of Punxsutawney; and a brother, Thomas L. Bridge and wife Genevieve of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his wife, Vera, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Mae Smith.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Paul Thompson. Interment is private for family.
