William G. “Gurn” Satterlee, 83

William G. “Gurn” Satterlee, 83, Mahaffey, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at home.

He was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Marion Center, the son of the late William F. and Esther C. (Good) Satterlee.

On March 21, 1997, he married Beverly K. Campbell, who survives.

He was a member of the Mahaffey United Methodist Church.

He was a graduate of the Marion Center Class of 1950.

He served two years in the U.S. Navy in the early 1950s.

He was a member of the Masons and the Shriners.

On May 15, 1959, he started his own business, William G. Satterlee and Sons.

Surviving relatives include four children, Daniel Satterlee and wife Brenda of Treasure Lake, Karen Satterlee of Florida, David Satterlee of Indiana, and Gary Satterlee of Rochester Mills; twelve grandchildren, Chad and Nicole Satterlee, Kevin and Chris Donaldson, and Traci Lee, Ben and Andrew Satterlee, Elizabeth Roach, Gregg and Maleia Satterlee, and
Emily and Hailee Agostic; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Satterlee, Victoria and Zack Sidwar and Luca Roach; and step-children Kristy Agostic and Sean Bennett.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor John White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Interment will be at Mahaffey Cemetery.
