William E. Beezer, 82

William E. Beezer, 82, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Edward and Caroline (Lamison) Beezer.

He moved to the Punta Gorda area a year ago from Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Beezer worked in pharmaceutical sales before retiring.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Mr. Beezer was Protestant by faith.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Katherine L. Beezer of Chicago, Ill., and Carolyn Wagner and husband Tony of Alabama; a brother, the Rev. Gene Beezer and wife Martha of El Cajon, Calif.; a sister, Carol Curry and husband Edward of Yuma, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Riley and Case Wagner.

Services will be held in Thomasville at a later date.
