William C. Lingenfelter, 82

William C. Lingenfelter, 82, Punxsutawney, a guest at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Edward Haag and Ada Lingenfelter.

He was Methodist by faith.

Mr. Lingenfelter was a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles and the Army Navy Club. He loved hunting, fishing, playing guitar and country music.
Surviving relatives include three sons, Carl Lingenfelter of Punxsutawney, Rickey Lingenfelter of Punxsutawney and Edward Lingenfelter of Clymer; a daughter, Mary Coleman of Punxsutawney, seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; his first wife, Margaret (Fazekas) Frampton of Punxsutawney; and a special companion, Evelyn Miller of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Margaret (O'Hara) Lingenfelter; and a sister, Lydia A. Sheesley.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Dawn Krishart officiating.

Private interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park.
