William Brian Dinger, 47, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born May 10, 1964, in Punxsutawney, a son of Everett Eugene Dinger of California and Marie (Wright) Swanson of Punxsutawney, who survive.

Mr. Dinger was the owner of Dinger House Painting.

He was Protestant by faith.

In addition to his parents, surviving relatives include two sons, Michael Dinger of Carnegie and David W. Dinger of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; two brothers, Alan Dinger and wife Christine and Ron Meckley and wife Cansas, all of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Denise Swanson of Punxsutawney and Renee Howell and husband Edward of Marion Center; and his longtime companion, Roseann Knepp.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Darl Ware officiating.
