A Possible Glass Plant
Representatives of a large French syndicate which has $ 3,000,000 to invest in the glass industry in Pennsylvania are in correspondence with parties here relative to the purchase of the Punxsutawney Bottle Works. What will come of it remains to be seen.

Should the plant be purchased by this concern $250,000 would be invested in the glass business here. That would be a great boom to our town. We need a glass plant like that in our business. This same company is in correspondence with Blairsville parties with a view to the purchase of the plant there.

Two Railroads to Pittsburg
A telegram to the New York Sun from Pittsburg under date of November 6, says that "two railroads will be pushed through to Pittsburg within a year or two — the Pittsburg and Eastern, from Mahaffey and the B. R. & P. from Punxsutawney."

We are very much in need of a railroad from Punxsutawney to Pittsburg and the indications are that we will have one in a short time. When this B. R. & P. extension is made we could go to Pittsburg on a through train in two hours.

Harrison J. Wolfe
The popular young actor, Harrison J. Wolfe will give the people of Punxsutawney a treat in the way of classic drama this week such as they have never seen in this town. He has a splendid company, and the plays presented are edifying.

On Thursday evening “ David Garrick” will be presented, on Friday evening “The Corsican Brothers,” and on Saturday evening “Hamlet.”

Fenn’s Verdict Affirmed
It will be remembered that last winter J.V. Fenn, of Dauphin county, won a case against Dickery, Darrah and Co., of Brookville, for commission on a land sale amounting to about $31,000.

The case was taken to the Supreme Court, and at its session, in Pittsburg this week the verdict of the court below was affirmed.
