Saw and Shingle Mill Burned

The saw and shingle mill of Daniel Dunmire, Canoe township, was destroyed by fire last Thursday night. The loss is estimated at one thousand dollars, upon which there was no insurance.

Forty thousand good pine shingles belonging to William Elwood were also destroyed. The origin of the conflagration is not known.

Probably Fatally Injured
On Monday, during the wind storm, John Little, of North Mahoning township, drove-in to John G. Henry's barn in a buggy to seek shelter.

While there the roof was blown off the building and some falling timbers stuck Mr. Little on the back of the head and neck, inflicting injuries which his physician says may easily prove fatal.

The School Bonds Recovered
J.H. Colkitt has secured an order for the five hundred dollars in school bonds which were taken from the house of James M. Smith, of Washington township, on the occasion of the robbery last fall.

The bonds are in the possession of Capt. F. Flanagan, of Coalport, who is entirely innocent of any intentional wrong in the matter.

They were handed to him by a man who is now in the penitentiary at Allegheny to keep until he called for them, and he had no knowledge of what they were or how they were obtained.
