Violet Jean (Foltz) Skinner, 83, Home, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014.
The daughter of Homer T. and Kathleen (Hamilton) Foltz, she was born Feb. 17, 1931, in East Mahoning Township.
Violet was a 1951 graduate of Marion Center High School.
She was a homemaker and charter member of the Faith Orthodox
Violet will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and for the kind and gentle spirit shown by the
love for her family.
Surviving are her children, Cathy Waugaman and husband Bill of Shelocta, and Ronald Jr. and wife Sharon of Punxsutawney; grandchildren Bill Waugaman Jr. and wife Nikki of Butler, Becky Feracioly and husband Tyler of Rural Valley, Andrew Skinner and wife Leslie, Megan Skinner and Kaitlyn Skinner, all of Idaho, and Morgan Skinner and Nate Pyles, both of Punxsutawney; great grandchildren Jake, Luke, Dylan, David and Chase; a sister, Gladys M. Foltz of Indiana; a sister-in-law, Jane Fairman of Plumville; and numerous nieces.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald L. Skinner, (Dec. 18, 2010).
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 1656 Old Rte. 119 North, Indiana, with the Rev. Doug Snyder officiating.
Interment at the Gilgal Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church at the above address.
