PUNXSUTAWNEY — A Sykesville man has been jailed after he allegedly offered drugs to juveniles and stuck a hypodermic needle with unknown contents into a girl's arm.
According to district court documents provided by District Judge Douglas Chambers, the incident occurred Oct. 19, when Sean Dolby, 20, Sykesville, via text message offered drugs to a juvenile female in the area of Punxsutawney Area Middle School.
The documents said in the same text message, Dolby admitted using pills and marijuana daily.
Later, when the juvenile was walking with a friend, Dolby allegedly approached the victim while he was smoking something, the documents said, and repeatedly offered to let the juveniles have some of what he was smoking.
Dolby then stuck a hypodermic needle — which had unknown contents — into the juvenile's arm, documents said.
Punxsutawney Borough Police filed charges of aggravated assault; simple assault; corruption of minors; recklessly endangering; solicitation of minors to traffic drugs; disorderly conduct; and endangering the welfare of children.
Chambers arraigned Dolby Nov. 5 and set bail at $800,000. Dolby was committed to the Jefferson County jail in lieu of posting bail pending further court action.
There was also a probation detainer filed against Dolby.
