Vehicle accident occurs in front of Elk Run Firehall

PUNXSUTAWNEY — There was a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 10:40 a.m. Saturday on Route 310 north near the Elk Run Firehall.

According to Punxsutawney Borough Police, a Toyota Corolla driven by Tanya R. Hoover, Rossiter, was traveling north on Route 310 near the Elk Run Firehall when a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Steven E. Przybrowski, DuBois, stopped in front of her vehicle, which struck the rear of his Blazer.

Police said the crash caused major damage to Hoover's vehicle, while Przybrowski's vehicle sustained minor damage.

The accident was reported to Jefferson County Emergency Services by a member of the Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company.

Police were assisted at the scene by Jefferson County EMS, Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company and Walker's Towing.
