For two local youth, less (hair for a good cause) is more this summer

(Left photos) Madison McBee, of Punxsutawney, is only 14 years old, but wise beyond her years. Madison, the daughter of John and Melanie McBee, decided to have her hair cut and to donate the locks to Wigs For Kids. This is Madison's first time donating to Wigs For Kids, an organization that provides hair replacement systems and support for kids who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues at no cost to children or their families.

(Right photos) This young girl decided to kick off her summer by making a second donation to Locks of Love. Abriel Zanaglio is 7 years old and was so excited to donate another 10 inches. This wonderful and kind girl is the daughter of Trish and Mike Zanaglio and will be going into third grade at Bell Township this fall. Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.
