A Suzuki Forenza collided with a Residual Waste truck at the intersection of Route 36 and the Cloe-Rossiter Road in the village of Cloe at 3:07 p.m. Thursday, demolishing the front end of the car and disabling the truck.

The 17-year-old driver of the Subaru and a passenger were entrapped and were extricated with the Jaws of Life tool.

They suffered moderate and minor injuries, respectively, and the truck driver was not injured.

Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police said the driver of the Suzuki failed to stop, as a stop sign at the intersection was absent.

Police were assisted by the Punxsutawney Fire Department, Jefferson County EMS and Rebuck's South Side Service and Stat MedEvac.
