DELANCEY — A Brookville man was flown to Altoona Hospital following a two-vehicle accident along Rote 310 in Young Township.

Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police said the incident occurred at 3:36 p.m. Thursday near Adrian Road.

Police said Dylan L. Baughman, 18, Brookville, was traveling south on Route 310 when, for unknown reasons, his 2003 Madza Protege crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Dodge Durango operated by Robert C. Siple, 36, Reynoldsville, which was traveling northbound.

The entire front driver’s side of Baughman’s vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of Siple’s vehicle, and after impact, Baughman’s vehicle traveled about 70 feet along the west berm of Route 310 before coming to a final rest facing west, police said.

After impact, Siple’s vehicle traveled about 36 feet along the west berm of Route 310 counterclockwise before coming to a rest facing east about 12 feet off the road, police said.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash, police said.

Baughman was flown to Altoona Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, while a passenger in Siple’s vehicle was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both vehicles were towed by Rebuck’s South Side Service.

The McCalmont Township and Elk Run Fire Departments responded to the scene.
