Trisha Lee (O’Hara) McCallister, 46, Plano, Texas, died Friday, March 4, 2011.

She was born Feb. 19, 1965, in Sandusky, Ohio, a daughter of Ernest and Phyllis (Smith) O’Hara, who survive, of Indiana.

She grew up in Huron, Ohio, and was a 1983 graduate of Huron High School.In 1987, she graduated from Bowling Green State University and later attained her CPA license.

Ms. McCallister was highly involved in her daughters’ activities and loved outdoor recreation. She was a Girl Scout leader, taught Sunday School, volunteered for Special Olympics events and was a leader for Destination Imagination.

She began her work career at Armstrong Air Conditioning in Bellevue, Ohio, in 1989. In 1991, she moved to Texas and took a position as an accounting analyst with Lennox Industries. She held various positions and moved up the corporate ladder. This led to a promotion and move to Grenada, Miss., to become controller of ADP.

In 2008, Ms. McCallister and her family returned to Texas, where she held her most recent role as director of financial planning and analysis for the Lennox Residential Business Unit.

In addition to her parents, surviving relatives include her children, Katherine Marie and Sara Ann, and their father, Steve, of Plano; three sisters, Trudi Baaske and husband Jon, and their children, Kennedy, Andrew and Brynn, of Huron, Leslie O’Hara and her son, Fredric, and Susan O’Hara and her daughter, Emily, all of Pensacola, Fla.; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ernest and Jean O’Hara and Cecile and Floyd Smith.

A service was held in Allen, Texas. 

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011, at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, followed by burial at Burnside Cemetery.

A Celebration of Trisha's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Huron United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Roger Skelley-Watts officiating, and words by Bob Jones Jr. and other friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Special Olympics, the Ronald McDonald House and Give Kids The World.
