BIG RUN — When it comes to reaching out and helping those in need, The Tom Siple Foundation is ready and willing.

The foundation was created by Duane Siple and Pastor Paul Thompson in memory of Duane's father — the late Tom Siple, who was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Tom passed away from lung cancer five years ago.

The purpose of the foundation is to help those who are terminally ill or severely disabled by providing funding for an outdoor adventure or whatever needs they may have.

To help raise money, members of the foundation are preparing for the 5th Annual Spaghetti Banquet, which will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at the Big Run War Memorial.

The cost of tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
