Todd M. Covert, 33, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at home.
He was born Nov. 5, 1979, a son of Jerry and Mary (Shiock) Covert.

He was a member of the St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church.

He was a graduate from the Punxsutawney Area High School Class of 1997 and attended Slippery Rock University.

He enjoyed hunting, hiking, music, going to camp, spending time with his nieces and nephew, and most of all, his family.

In addition to his parents, surviving relatives include two brothers, Keith Covert and wife Michelle of Punxsutawney and Patrick Covert and wife Tara of Big Run; grandfather Earl Covert; nieces Ava and Vivian and nephew Liam Covert; aunts Jean Ann Ruby and husband Larry of Anita, Donna Earley and husband Sam of Reynoldsville and Elaine (Covert) Stewart and husband Terry of Punxsutawney; an uncle, Willie Shiock and wife Cyndie of Punxsutawney; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lula (Frederick) Covert; his maternal grandfather William Shiock; and his maternal grandmother Irene (Valyo) Shiock.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
