Thomas R. Zinzell, 88, of Wesleyville, Pa., passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, in Erie, Pa.

He was born July 1, 1924, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Michael and Mary Morris Zinzella.

Tom was an electrician, having worked for many contractors over the years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

Tom was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Club in Punxsutawney.

He enjoyed time with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret G. Zinzell, on July 13, 1983; three sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include a son, Gary Zinzell (Carolyn) of Murrysville, Pa., and their daughter, Elizabeth; a sister, Gertrude Anderson of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; a brother, Joseph Zinzella (Irene) of Erie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, and are invited to attend a prayer service there at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, followed by a funeral Mass at St. James R.C. Church at 10 a.m.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney, at 3 p.m.
