Thomas Jay Gaul, 82

Thomas Jay Gaul, 82, Luthersburg, formerly of the Paradise area, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Ridgeview Elder Care.

He was born July 27, 1931, in Helvetia, a son of the late Harmon and Bessie Galentine Gaul.

He was married to Grace Lucille Miller Gaul, who preceded him in death.

He was a truck driver for Agway for 27 years, then Sky-Haven Coal for 10 years.

He enjoyed antique tractors, gardening and selling at local Farmers
Markets.

He resided in Paradise area more than 40 years before moving to Georgia, then to Luthersburg.

Thomas is survived by two children, Mrs. Randy (Joyce) Starr of Luthersburg and Roger Gaul of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Everett and wife Dorothy Gaul of RD Punxy and Lee Gaul of Erie; four sisters, Velma Beck of DuBois, Mrs. Verlon (Marion) Burkett and Mrs. Larry (Mae) Burkett, both of Punxsutawney, and Faye Snyder of Brockway; two grandchildren, Mrs. Scott (Jennipher) Lichvarcik of Rockton and David Starr of Luthersburg; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Krissa and Rayanna Lichvarcik of Rockton and Davyn Starr of Luthersburg.

Thomas was also predeceased by three brothers, Fred, Lewis and infant Robert; and one sister, Charolette.

Friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Bible Fellowship Church in Chestnut Grove.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Bible Fellowship Church in Chestnut Grove, with Pastor Charles Lee officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois.
