Thelma L. Williams, 84, Punxsutawney, (Albion area) passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at McKinley Health Center, Brookville.

She was born March 23, 1926, in Canoe Ridge, the daughter of the late Harry Henry and Alta (Stiver) Henry, who preceded her in death.
Feb. 7, 1946, she married Dallas M. Williams, who preceded her in death Feb. 4, 2000.

Mrs. Williams was a life-long resident of the Punxsutawney area; she attended the Canoe Ridge Church of God; and she was a former employee of Sportswear and Rola-Jensen in Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Carol Williams and husband Doug of Willowick, Ohio; a son, Kenneth D. Williams and wife Debra of Gilbert, Ariz.; a grandson, Bruce Williams and wife Kim of Madison, Ohio; a granddaughter, Heather Gahagan, of Gilbert, Ariz.; two great-grandsons, Randell Williams and Alex Beech, both of Madison, Ohio; a sister, Catherine States and husband Keith of Thomaston, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Earl Flick and Pastor Robert Bish officiating.

Interment was in the Burnside Cemetery in Burnside.

The Williams family has suggested that memorials be made in memory of Thelma L. Williams to the Canoe Ridge Church of God or the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice, P.O. Box 668, Knox, Pa. 16232.
