Terrence Joseph Rhodes, 50, of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at the home of his daughter.

He was born July 7, 1962, in Syracuse, N.Y., a son of the late Scott Daniel Rhodes and Carol Ann (Darby) Kromer. His mother survives and resides in Punxsutawney.

Terry enjoyed raising his daughters and getting to enjoy his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed fishing, sitting around a campfire with friends and watching NASCAR races.

In addition to his mother, Carol, and her husband, Howard Kromer, surviving relatives include two daughters, Melissa Ann Painter and husband Steven of Rossiter, and Michele Lee Trayer of Rochester Mills; grandchildren Jada Rhodes, Makenzie Painter, Devon Trayer, Damian Lakin and Brandon Gervasoni; three brothers, Scott "Dusty" Rhodes of Punxsutawney, Gary Rhodes and wife Kim of Mayport, and Jeff Rhodes of Reynoldsville; and a sister, Twila Rhodes of Florida.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery, McCalmont Township, Jefferson County.
