Sylvia Frances Murray, 92

Sylvia Frances Murray, 92, of Punxsutawney, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

She was born July 19, 1921, in Reynoldsville, the daughter of the late Glenn and Sarah (Rea) Uplinger.

She was married to George Murray, who preceded her in death in 1988.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Punxsutawney.

She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Reed and husband Don of New Bethlehem, Pa., Carol Smith and husband Paul of Illinois, and Edith Bergbigler and husband Don of Fenelton, Pa.; and by one sister, Katherine Cramer of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.

At Mrs. Murray's request, there will be no public visitation, and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

The family requests the donations in memory of Mrs. Murray be made to the First Baptist Church, 209 East Union St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
