SUMMER: TIME TO READ!

June 13, 2012

More than 100 youngsters and family member visited the Punxsutawney Memorial Library Wednesday for a party to kick off the annual summer reading program, this year titled, “Dream Big, Read!” They also enjoyed snacks, crafts, face-painting and visits with alpacas from Rainbow Mountain Alpacas. Here, Peggy Johnston (right), the vice-president of the Friends of the Library and summer reading volunteer, paints the face of six-year-old Rylee Grimes, who will start first grade at Jenks Hill in the fall.
