The students at SS.C.D. School celebrated a night out at the movies last week at the Jackson Theater.

The entire school participated in dress-down days, during which students paid a dollar each to dress
down.

There were four different themes for dress-down days, and money raised was donated to the Jackson Theater for the projector fund.

A total of $224 was raised and presented to Rob McCoy, Punxsutawney Area Community Center director. For their generosity, the students were treated to a movie called “The Croods.”

Pictured in front (from left) are students Ella Newcome, 4th grade; Natalie Miller, 2nd grade; and Emily Dobbins, 2nd grade. McCoy is pictured in the back.
