The SS.C.D. Elementary School Choir is pictured singing Christmas carols to the residents at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney as part of the Make-A-Wish Light Up a Child's Life Campaign on Wednesday. Polly Mills,
Make-A-Wish assistant, said at the conclusion of Wednesday's broadcast that the total raised through the first three days was $35,676.52, which will provide for just more than nine wishes (based on average cost). Today, the radio-thon’s broadcast on 104.1 WPXZ begins the day at the Punxsutawney Area Middle School at 7 a.m., followed by a visit to the Punxsutawney Area High School at 8 a.m. The campaign will then move to Miller Brothers Furniture in Punxsutawney from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday morning’s broadcast will be from Fezell’s County Market.
