It may just be the most anticipated day of the year — right up there with Christmas and a birthday.

Monday, a half day of school marked the end of the school year for students across the Punxsutawney Area School District, SS.C.D. and the Punxsutawney Christian School.

Students were all smiles as they headed out of the buildings, free to rejuvenate themselves with whatever activities they have planned for the summer.

Pictured here are students from Jenks Hill dismissing to their bus.

When it comes to children riding in cars, safety always comes first.
