School board hears summer school presentation

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Area School Board received an update on the elementary summer school program that was put on by AmeriCorps.

Shari Weber, elementary principal, said the program was run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., which included a free lunch for the children.

"This summer school experience benefited the students to enrich their experience with math and reading,"
