Ruth A. Young, 87, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born May 21, 1925, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Otto and Mary (Mee) Ott.

She married Robert L. Young, who preceded in her in death.

She was a devoted wife and mother.

She was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Surviving relatives include two sons, William R. Young and wife Janice of Punxsutawney and Ronald A. Young and wife Elizabeth “Betsy” Young of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Margaret Wachter of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four grandchildren,

Reverend William R. Young, Jr. and wife Karen of Valier, Karen Alleman and husband Nathan of Waco, Texas, and James and Jeffrey Young of Punxsutawney; and one great-granddaughter, Annabelle Alleman of Waco,
Texas.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Robert Ott.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at the funeral home with Reverend William R. Young, Jr. officiating

Interment will be at William Penn Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Young, may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney, 301 West Mahoning St.,
Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
