Ruth Mae Majewski, 83

Ruth Mae Majewski, 83, New Bethlehem, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Louis and Ethel McFarland Slusher.

She married Kazimiesz Raymond Majewski, who preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1994.

After moving into the Redbank Valley area, Mrs. Majewski became a homemaker. She lived in the local area for 33 years, spending the past seven years living in New Bethlehem.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with her great-grandchildren and her cat, Maggie.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Raymond Majewski and wife Lynn of Newton, and Stephen Majewski and wife Mary Ann of Elizabethton, Tenn.; a daughter, Colette McIntyre and husband Michael of Timblin; six grandchildren, Sean Bowser and wife Chrysta, Lindsay Bothell and husband Benjamin, Raymond Majewski, David Majewski and wife Tamara, Stephen Majewski and wife Kari, and Sand Rousse and husband Michel; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy, and her great-granddaughter, Clara Bothell.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held for friends and family at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 at the Rupert Funeral Home of New Bethlehem, with the Rev. David Nagele officiating.
