Ruth Ann (Amos) Holben, 72

Ruth Ann (Amos) Holben, 72, Indiana, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at her home.

She was born July 3, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Edwin C. and Elizabeth Amos.

She was married to Edward H. Holben, who survives.

Mrs. Holben was a graduate of the Indiana State Teachers College, where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. She then taught business education for 25 years.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana.
In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include two step-children, Lindsay Cobb of Charleston, S.C., and Edward R. Holben of Atlanta, Ga.; two step-grandchildren, Andrew and Zachary Holben of Atlanta; a sister-in-law, Edith Amos; five nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Louis Zeleznock; and a brother, Edwin C. Amos Jr.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Trinity United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at the church with the Rev. Greg Golden officiating.

Interment will follow at Round Top Cemetery, Trade City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 398 Church St., Indiana, Pa. 15701.

Arrangements are under the direction of the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana.
